Mayor Commends Progressive Tailors and Dressmakers Association for Empowering Local Artisans
On Saturday, 4th October 2025, the Metropolitan Chief Executive of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, joined the 5th Graduation Ceremony of the Progressive Tailors and Dressmakers Association, held at the forecourt of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly.
The event marked a significant milestone in the lives of the graduating members who have successfully completed their training in tailoring and dressmaking — a testament to the Association’s commitment to skills development and vocational excellence within the Metropolis.
In his address, Hon. Arthur congratulated the graduates and commended the Association for its continuous efforts in promoting technical and vocational education, which plays a crucial role in job creation, youth empowerment, and local economic growth. He further assured the Assembly’s support for initiatives that build capacity, foster entrepreneurship, and strengthen the informal sector in Cape Coast.
