Cape Coast Mayor Celebrates World Teachers’ Day with GNAT
On Friday, 3rd October 2025, the world marked World Teachers’ Day — a global celebration dedicated to honouring the hard work, dedication, and immense contributions of teachers to human development and nation-building.
As a teacher by profession, the Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, joined the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) to commemorate this significant occasion. The celebration underscored the invaluable role teachers play in shaping the future of society — nurturing young minds, inspiring excellence, and producing professionals who drive progress across every sector.
In his address, Hon. George Justice Arthur expressed profound admiration for the tireless commitment of teachers who, despite numerous challenges, continue to give their best to the education of Ghana’s children. He emphasized the importance of continuous support, recognition, and motivation for teachers to enhance the quality of education in Cape Coast and the nation at large.
Indeed, teachers remain the true architects of our collective future — builders of minds, shapers of destinies, and pillars of national development.
