Mayor Arthur Applauds Pharmacists’ Contribution to Public Health at PSGH Conference

On Wednesday, 24th September 2025, the Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, joined the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH) at the opening ceremony of its Annual Conference, held at the New Examination Centre (NEC) of the University of Cape Coast.

In his remarks, the Mayor commended the Pharmaceutical Society for its unwavering commitment to public health and the advancement of pharmaceutical practice in Ghana. He emphasized that pharmacists and other health professionals play an essential role in building healthier communities, noting that their expertise remains central to effective and accessible healthcare delivery.

Hon. George Justice Arthur further underscored the importance of enhanced collaboration between local government and health professionals to ensure that communities benefit not only from access to essential medicines but also from innovations and best practices in the pharmaceutical field.

He also praised the decision to host the conference in Cape Coast, describing it as a fitting venue for intellectual and professional engagement. The Mayor noted that such gatherings foster knowledge exchange, professional development, and partnerships that positively impact healthcare systems and community wellbeing across the country.
