Metro Guards Unit
The core mandate of the Metro Guard Unit is to give orders and command the North & South Sub-metro guard offices to perform their assigned security duties by the Metropolitan Security Authority, and make sure they have been executed.

Core Functions & Responsibilities
The Metro Guards Unit, under the Central Administration Department shall:
- To check and ensure commercial transport operators have the necessary Metropolitan Drivers' License and Stickers
- To inspect payment of daily tolls by drivers.
- To assist revenue collectors for mobilization.
- To assist pedestrians on Zebra Crossings.
- To assist vehicles and pedestrians in traffic management within the metropolis.
- To assist with decongestion exercises within the metropolis.
- To perform any other duties assigned the unit.
