New PPAG Health Facility Boosts Healthcare in Cape Coast

Access to quality healthcare in Cape Coast has received a major boost following the establishment of a modern health facility by the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG).

On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, the Mayor of Cape Coast, George Justice Arthur, together with officials of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly and the Metro Health Directorate, toured the newly constructed and fully equipped facility.

The delegation was warmly received by management of PPAG, who provided a comprehensive briefing on the centre’s advanced medical equipment and services. Particular emphasis was placed on reproductive health, maternal care, and pregnancy-related services—areas critical to improving health outcomes within the metropolis.

During a guided tour of the facility, the Mayor and his team gained first-hand insight into the cutting-edge technologies available at the centre. Several of the installed systems are not commonly found in many health institutions within the Central Region, positioning the facility as a significant addition to healthcare delivery in the area.

The visit highlighted the growing importance of public-private partnerships in strengthening health infrastructure and expanding access to specialised medical services.

The establishment of the PPAG facility marks a major step forward in enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality for residents of Cape Coast and its surrounding communities.
