The Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA) hosted a high-level working visit from the Local Government Service this week, aimed at strengthening local governance and enhancing service delivery in the metropolis.
On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, the Head of the Local Government Service, Lord Mensah, paid a courtesy visit to the Assembly. He was warmly received by the Mayor of Cape Coast, George Justice Arthur, and the Metropolitan Co-ordinating Director, Adam Asumah Braimah.
During the visit, Prof. Mensah engaged with staff of the Local Government Service at the Assembly, commending them for their dedication and hard work. He encouraged employees to maintain professionalism, diligence, and punctuality, stressing the importance of these qualities in strengthening decentralisation and improving internally generated revenue.
The visit underscored the Service’s commitment to fostering effective local governance and enhancing the quality of public service delivery across the Cape Coast Metropolis.
