On Thursday, March 5, 2026, the historic city of Cape Coast played host to a distinguished international visitor, the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Terrance Michael Drew.
The Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by the Mayor of Cape Coast, George Justice Arthur, and the Central Regional Minister, Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah.
The visit began with a courtesy call on the Osabarima Dr. Kwesi Atta II and the Oguaa Traditional Council, where the delegation paid homage and engaged in discussions highlighting the deep historical and cultural ties between Africa and the Caribbean.
The Ghanaian entourage then escorted the Prime Minister to the Cape Coast Castle, where he toured the historic monument and gained firsthand insight into its role during the transatlantic slave trade era.
The visit underscored the enduring historical connections between Ghana and the Caribbean and highlighted the importance of preserving and sharing this heritage with the global community.
