MCE Conducts Working visit to Ankaful Community

As part of his commitment to community engagement and problem-solving, the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, paid a working visit to the Ankaful community to assess firsthand the challenges facing residents and outline actionable solutions. During the visit, Hon. Arthur toured key areas of concern, including the community’s main refuse dump site, an unconstructed drainage system, a collapsed bridge linking Ankaful to the neighboring Kwaprow community, as well as the deteriorating condition of Ankaful’s main road and non-functional streetlights. The MCE also inspected portions of government lands within the area, which have been encroached upon by private developers. He directed the Assembly Member for the Electoral Area to submit a comprehensive list of the encroachers to the Assembly for appropriate action. “These challenges have been duly noted, and I want to assure the people of Ankaful that the Assembly will prioritize efforts to address them. Collaboration with the community is key as we work towards lasting solutions,” Hon. Arthur emphasized. As part of the visit, Hon. Arthur called on the Chief of Ankaful, where he reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to supporting the community and tackling its pressing developmental needs. This visit forms part of the MCE’s broader strategy of engaging with local communities to ensure responsive governance and accelerated development across the Cape Coast Metropolis.
