Mayor’s Media Outreach Highlights Development Priorities

The Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, last week embarked on a series of media engagements across major radio and television stations in the Metropolis, from Monday, 25th August to Friday, 29th August, 2025. The week-long itinerary, coordinated by the Public Relations/Publicity Unit, provided a platform for the Mayor to interact with residents, share progress on key interventions, and rally public support for ongoing initiatives.

Highlights of the Discussions

<li>Citywide Clean-Up Exercise: The Mayor announced the exercise scheduled for Friday and Saturday, 6:00 am – 10:00 am, stressing its importance to sanitation and public health.</li>

<li>Property Maintenance Appeal: He urged property owners to repaint and maintain their structures to enhance the city’s image.</li>

<li>Pragyia Summit Plans: The Mayor disclosed plans for a stakeholder summit to regulate the operations of pragyia riders and improve transportation management.</li>

<li>Property Rate Collection: He reiterated the critical role of property rates in funding Cape Coast’s development agenda.</li>

<li>Other Development Matters: The engagements also touched on youth empowerment, tourism, and broader community development goals.</li>

Over the course of the week, the Mayor engaged audiences on stations such as Live 107.5 FM, Kastle 90.3 FM, Asaase Radio 100.3, Coastal TV, ATL 100.5 FM, and others — reaching thousands of residents across the Metropolis.
