Mayor visits Institutions to Strengthen Collaboration
As part of his commitment to fostering closer partnerships with key institutions, the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, commenced a series of institutional visits yesterday.
The Mayor visited the offices of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), State Insurance Company (SIC), Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL), and Ghana Health Service (GHS).
The purpose of these visits was to gain first-hand insight into the operations, challenges, and contributions of these vital institutions towards the development of Cape Coast. Hon. Arthur engaged management and staff on how best the Assembly could collaborate with them to address existing challenges, improve service delivery, and enhance their capacity to support the metropolis.
Discussions focused on identifying priority projects, addressing infrastructure and operational constraints, and developing strategic interventions to boost economic growth, trade facilitation, and social development.
“These institutions play a critical role in the growth and progress of Cape Coast. By working hand in hand, we can develop practical solutions that improve services, support livelihoods, and ensure a better quality of life for our people,” Hon. Arthur stated.
He reaffirmed the Assembly’s readiness to partner with these agencies, emphasizing that collaboration is key to building a more connected, prosperous, and resilient metropolis.
