Mayor visits Central Regional Police HQ at Cape Coast

As part of his ongoing institutional visits, the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, paid a courtesy call on the Central Regional Police Headquarters yesterday to engage with the leadership on matters of security and service delivery within the metropolis. The Mayor was warmly received by the Regional Commander, DCOP Charles Kofi Adu, and his team of senior officers. The engagement provided a platform for fruitful discussions on critical security issues, operational challenges, and areas of collaboration to enhance safety and law enforcement in Cape Coast. Hon. Arthur acknowledged the vital role of the Ghana Police Service in maintaining law and order, protecting lives and property, and promoting a peaceful environment for social and economic development. He emphasized the need to support the Police Service to operate with the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency. “The Police Service remains a pillar in safeguarding our communities. Strengthening collaboration between the Assembly and the Police is essential for ensuring a safe and secure Cape Coast for all residents and visitors,” the Mayor noted. He reiterated his commitment to fostering a strong partnership with the Police and other security agencies, stressing that by working together, they can build a more connected, prosperous, resilient, and safe metropolis.
