On Friday, The Metropolitan Chief Executive of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, inaugurated a Special Revenue Mobilization Committee to boost revenue generation for the Metropolitan Assembly. The committee, composed of key stakeholders, aims to identify new revenue streams, improve tax compliance, and reduce revenue leakages. In his inaugural remarks, the MCE emphasized the importance of revenue mobilization in driving economic development and improving public services in Cape Coast. He charged the committee to develop and implement effective strategies to optimize revenue generation and ensure transparency and accountability. The committee's objectives include; identifying new revenue streams, improving tax compliance and collection efficiency, reducing revenue leakages, enhancing stakeholder engagement and awareness etc. The MCE expressed optimism that the committee's efforts would significantly improve revenue mobilization and contribute to the Metropolitan Assembly's development agenda.
