Groundbreaking Ceremony for Lands Commission Office
The Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) for Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, has joined officials of the Central Regional Lands Commission to officially break ground for the construction of a new office complex in Cape Coast.
The project, which aims to provide a modern and well-equipped facility, is expected to improve land administration services, streamline documentation processes, and enhance public access to land-related services in the region.
In brief remarks, Hon. Arthur commended the Lands Commission for the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that will strengthen land governance and address challenges associated with land tenure within the metropolis.
He said the office complex will not only improve efficiency but also ensure transparency in land transactions, benefiting residents and investors alike.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, the MCE engaged with the Chief Director of the Regional Coordinating Council, Lands Commission officials, and project consultants to discuss local land tenure issues. He also advocated for local employment opportunities, urging project stakeholders to prioritize Cape Coast artisans and workers during the construction phase.
The event underscores the Assembly’s commitment to supporting key infrastructure projects that promote good governance and socio-economic development in Cape Coast.
