CCMA Staff Join Mayor in Metro-Wide Cleanup Exercise

On Friday, 29th August 2025, the staff of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly, led by the Mayor, Hon. George Justice Arthur, actively participated in the Metro-wide Cleanup Exercise dedicated to institutions and corporate entities across the Metropolis.

With teamwork and dedication, staff members desilted drains, swept compounds, weeded surroundings, and properly disposed of refuse within and around the Assembly premises. The activity highlighted the Assembly’s determination to lead by example in promoting environmental cleanliness, public health, and community responsibility.

The Mayor commended the staff for their active involvement and urged all institutions and organizations across Cape Coast to adopt the culture of regular cleanups. He stressed that maintaining a clean environment is a shared duty and an essential step toward positioning Cape Coast as a clean, safe, and thriving city.

Together, the Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to building a healthier, greener, and more sustainable Cape Coast.
