The development of critical sectors in Cape Coast continues to be a top priority for city authorities, aligned with H.E. the President’s Reset Agenda.
On Friday, February 6, 2026, the Mayor of Cape Coast, George Justice Arthur, together with the MP for Cape Coast North, Kwamena Minta Nyarku, Assembly officials, and local Assembly Members, conducted key project activities across the Cape Coast North Constituency.
The delegation performed a sod-cutting ceremony at Esuekyir for the construction of a six-unit classroom block, marking the commencement of multiple development projects in the constituency. These include a CHPS Compound at Dankwakrom, a JHS block at Bessakrom, and a mechanized borehole at the Amissano CHPS Compound.
In addition to the sod-cutting, the Mayor and MP undertook inspection visits to project sites at Bessakrom, Dankwakrom, and Amissano to assess progress and readiness for construction.
The team also commissioned the Sewin Police Station, which will enhance security for the Sewin community, Cape Coast Technical University, and surrounding areas. Furthermore, mechanized boreholes at Efutu Health Centre and the Kakumdo CHPS Compound were inaugurated to improve access to clean water.
These interventions highlight the Assembly’s commitment to strengthening education, healthcare, water supply, and security infrastructure across Cape Coast North, reinforcing a shared vision of building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous metropolis.
