2024 Support for Persons With Disabilities
On 26th January 2024, the Department of Social Welfare & Community Development, led by its head, Mr. Mustapha Okine, provided support to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the Cape Coast metropolis. The initiative included the distribution of relief and empowerment items such as wheelchairs, chest freezers, mattresses, and food items, aimed at improving the lives of PWDs in the region.
The event was graced by the Metropolitan Coordinating Director and the Metropolitan Chief Executive, who commended the department's continuous efforts in supporting vulnerable members of the community. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to ensure inclusivity and better living conditions for persons with disabilities in the metropolis.
