Metro Guards Unit
The core mandate of the Metro Guard Unit is to give orders and command the North and South Sub-metro guard offices to perform their assigned security, enforcement and revenue mobilization duties by the Metropolitan Security Authority. The Unit ensures that all assigned tasks are executed in accordance with established Metropolitan bye-laws and regulations.

Mission
To provide efficient, fair and professional enforcement and public order services that support revenue mobilization, traffic management and general security within the Cape Coast Metropolis.
Core Functions & Responsibilities
- Check and ensure commercial transport operators have the necessary Metropolitan Drivers' License and Stickers.
- Inspect payment of daily tolls by drivers.
- Assist revenue collectors for mobilization.
- Assist pedestrians on Zebra Crossings.
- Assist vehicles and pedestrians in traffic management within the metropolis.
- Assist with decongestion exercises within the metropolis.
- Enforce Assembly bye-laws and regulations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Metropolitan Security Authority.
