TrainingSensitization for School Feeding and Food Vendors
The leadership of Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly carried out a training programme for the school feeding operators and food vendors, on the 14th of May 2021 to enlighten the operators on the need to keep good hygiene in the preparation and handling of food and water.
In attendance was the leadership of the Assembly, school feeding operators and food vendors in the metropolis.
The agenda of the meeting included:
- Vendor’s personal hygiene
- Environmental hygiene
- Waste management
- Food and water storage
- Hand washing
- Balanced diet, among other matters.
RECOMMENDATION
The Vendors appealed for regular orientations as it has enlightened them a lot and appealed to the leadership on annually training.
