The Coast Metropolitan Assembly represented by the Metropolitan Chief Executive, Hon. Ernest Arthur, Nana Kwodwo Addae II and Mustapha Amoakwa, parties to the Abura Chieftaincy Dispute have signed a Peace Accord to main peace in Abura Community and elsewhere in the Cape Coast Metropolis in the period before, during and after the delivery of judgment by the Judicial Committee of the Central Regional House of Chiefs.
The signing of the Peace Accord is based on a situational intelligence and reports regarding social tension and upheaval that are likely to erupt within the Abura Community and the Metropolis after the judgement.
The Judicial Committee of Central Regional House of Chiefs is expected to deliver judgement on the Abura Chieftaincy dispute on November 15, 2022.
