Adisadel College Hockey Champions Honoured by Cape Coast Mayor
On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, the victorious Hockey Team of Adisadel College paid a courtesy call on the Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, to officially present their championship trophy after emerging winners of the maiden Ghana Hockey Association National Schools & Colleges Championship.
The Mayor warmly received the team and congratulated them on their historic achievement, praising their discipline, teamwork, and determination. He noted that their victory has brought immense pride not only to Adisadel College but also to the entire Cape Coast Metropolis.
In a show of recognition and encouragement, the Mayor led the team to meet the Special Committee for the Implementation of the 8-Year Development Plan, chaired by Nana Sam Brew-Butler. During the engagement, the Mayor and the Committee Chairman jointly presented an undisclosed cash reward to the team in honour of their outstanding performance.
The gesture underscores the commitment of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly to promoting sports development, nurturing young talent, and celebrating excellence among the youth.
